RE: BAY WIND FIELD OPENS CEDIF OFFERING
The Bay Wind Field Inc. (Bay Wind) a CEDIF, is pleased to announce its ninth offering of shares, since inception with a closing date of 27th May 2013. The Bay Wind Field has raised approximatley $1.6 million investment dollars, and has in excess of 250 investors from all parts of Nova Scotia.
Bay Wind is currently looking for the participation of new investors, as well as additional share purchases by existing Bay Wind investors in order to allow the company to develop new opportunities announced by the Nova Scotia Government to "Encourage Community - Based Renewal Projects which includes the "Community Feed in Tariff" (COMFIT) for Wind turbines electricity production.
To date Bay Wind Field has invested in such companies as Scotian Wind Fields Inc (SWFI), Scotia Wind Inc and Renewable Energy Services Ltd. (RESL), are growing Nova Scotia company in the wind generation industry. RESL has completed projects within the province, including; Point Tupper wind farm (a joint venture with Nova Scotia Power) a Digby turbine. RESL & Scoita Wind Inc have been awarded future projects under COMFIT program. These are examples of investments made by Bay Wind supporting industry within the province. A local example can be found in the assistance Lewis Mouldings and Wood Specialties in achieving the development of a successful venture in the production and sale of wood fuel bricks for use in fireplaces, heaters and furnaces from what was previously wood waste.
These investments and others as well as any future investments made by Bay Wind on behalf of its shareholders, not only encourages the successful development of Nova Scotia industry, but ensures that investment dollars earned in Nova Scotia, remain within the province to encourage increasingly important industry growth and employment within our province.
The offering is for $1.00 (one dollar) per share with a minimum investment of $500 (five hundred dollars), more information on the contacts can be obtained from the Bay Wind Website.
The Bay Wind Field Inc. is an independent, community owned corporation which has been raising capital through the Community Economic Development Investment Fund (CEDIF) program in Nova Scotia since 2002. The CEDIF program affords Nova Scotian taxpayers incentives for investing in Nova Scotia companies with a 35% provincial non-refundable income tax credit against provincial taxes payable in the first year followed by two other tax credits in the 5th year 20% and the tenth year 10% if the CEDIF meets certain conditions.
Bay Wind's primary investment focus is in the area of; specific wind power projects, wind power companies, exploration and development but is also analyzing emerging business opportunities related to carbon emissions reduction, such as tidal and solar power, hydrogen and renewable co-generation.
